Sarah Benedict Brown1

Sarah Benedict Brown was born on 12 November 1818.2 She was the daughter of James Brown and Louisa Kirkland Benedict.1,2 She married Alexander Brown, son of Sir William Brown, 1st Bt. and Sarah Gihon, on 19 December 1838.1 She died on 19 August 1902 at age 83.2
From 19 December 1838, her married name became Brown.2

Sir William Brown, 1st Bt.1

Sir William Brown, 1st Bt. was born on 30 May 1784 at Carncairn, Broughshane, County Antrim, IrelandG.2 He was the son of Alexander Brown and Grace Davison.1 He married Sarah Gihon, daughter of Andrew Gihon and Elizabeth Brown, on 1 January 1810 at Ballymena, County Antrim, IrelandG.2 He died on 3 March 1864 at age 79 at Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Lancashire between 1846 and 1859.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 1st Brigade, Lancashire Artillery Volunteers.1 He wrote the book Letters on the Advantages of Free Trade to the Landed Interest.1 He was founder of Brown, Shipley & Company at Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 In 1860 he gave Liverpool a public library and museum, at a cost of over £42,000.1 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Liverpool.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.1 He held the office of Alderman of Liverpool.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1863.1 He was created 1st Baronet Brown, of Richmond Hill, Lancashire [U.K.] on 24 January 1863.1

Lt. Hon. Henry Kerr Auchmuty Cecil1

Henry Kerr Auchmuty Cecil was born on 1 April 1914.1 He was the son of Captain William Amherst Cecil and Gladys Evelyn Baggallay.1 He married Elizabeth Rohays Mary Burnett, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt. and Sybil Aird Crozier Smith, on 15 December 1938.1 He died between 30 November 1942 and 2 December 1942 at North AfricaG, killed in action.1
On 8 January 1921 he was granted by royal warrant the rank of baron's son.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Parachute Regiment.1

Henry Kerr Auchmuty Cecil, son of Captain William Amherst Cecil and Gladys Evelyn Baggallay, on 15 December 1938.1 She married, secondly, Captain Sir Cecil Charles Boyd-Rochfort, son of Major Rochfort Hamilton Boyd-Rochfort and Florence Louisa Hemming, on 24 July 1944.1 She died on 17 May 1993 at age 76.1,3
From 15 December 1938, her married name became Cecil. From 24 July 1944, her married name became Boyd-Rochfort.

Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt.1

Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt. was born on 1 April 1880.2 He was the son of Colonel Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 12th Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Cumine.2 He married Sybil Aird Crozier Smith, daughter of William Crozier Smith, on 10 July 1913.2 He died on 13 August 1953 at age 73.2
He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in desptaches.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in desptaches eleven times, and was severely wounded.2 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917 and bar.2 He was Colonel Commandant of the 14th Infantry Brigade between 1917 and 1919.2 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Company of Archers.2 He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co.
