Thomas Babington was born in 1758.1 He was the son of Thomas Babington and Lydia Cardale.3 He married Jean Macaulay, daughter of Reverend John Macaulay and Margaret Campbell, on 8 October 1787.4 He died in 1837.1
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.4 He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1780.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire between 1800 and 1818.4 He lived at Rothey Temple, England.4
