Vice-Admiral Cavendish Bentinck Doyle1

Vice-Admiral Cavendish Bentinck Doyle was the son of William Doyle and Cecilia Salvini.1 He married Elizabeth Vivian, daughter of John Vivian, on 7 May 1828.2 He died on 21 May 1843.1

General Sir Charles Hastings Doyle was born in January 1805.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles William Doyle and Sophia Cramer Coghill.1 He died on 19 March 1883 at age 78 at Bolton Street, London, England.1
He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick between 1866 and 1867.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia between 1867 and 1873.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1869.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in May 1870 in the 87th Regiment.1 He was GOC of the Southern District at Portsmouth between 1874 and 1877.1
