Laura Gwenllian Rice was born on 26 September 1871.2 She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Ernest Rice and Laura Marianne York.1,2 She married, firstly, Walter John James, 3rd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger, son of Walter Henry James, 2nd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Edith Emeline Mary Lane, on 4 October 1894.3 She married, secondly, William Curtis Green, son of Frederic Green, on 2 August 1935.2 She died on 29 July 1952 at age 80.3
Her married name became James. After her marriage, Laura Gwenllian Rice was styled as Baroness Northbourne of Betteshanger on 27 January 1923. From 2 August 1935, her married name became Green.2

Admiral Sir Ernest Rice1

Admiral Sir Ernest Rice was born on 24 February 1840.2 He was the son of Edward Royds Rice and Elizabeth Knight.2 He married, firstly, Laura Marianne York, daughter of Edward York and Penelope Sykes, on 22 September 1870.2 He married, secondly, Fanny Julia Dawkins, daughter of Clinton George Augustus Dawkins and Marianne Jane Robarts, on 12 September 1903.2 He died on 15 April 1927 at age 87.2
He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He lived at Silbertswold Place, Kent, EnglandG.

Walter Ernest Christopher James, 4th Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger was born on 18 January 1896.1 He was the son of Walter John James, 3rd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Laura Gwenllian Rice.1 He married Katharine Louise Nickerson, daughter of George Augustus Nickerson and Ellen Touzalin, on 4 March 1925.1 He died on 17 June 1982 at age 86.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, The Buffs.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger, of Langley Hall and Denford Court, co. Berks [U.K., 1884] on 22 December 1932.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet James, of Langley Hall and Denford Court, co. Berks [G.B., 1791] on 22 December 1932.1

Katharine Louise Nickerson1

Katharine Louise Nickerson was the daughter of George Augustus Nickerson and Ellen Touzalin. She married Walter Ernest Christopher James, 4th Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger, son of Walter John James, 3rd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Laura Gwenllian Rice, on 4 March 1925.1 She died in 1980.1
She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 Her married name became James. After her marriage, Katharine Louise Nickerson was styled as Baroness Northbourne of Betteshanger on 22 December 1932.

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Signals.1 He was appointed Fellow, Chartered Auctioneers' and Estate Agents' Institute (F.A.I.)1 He was director of Anglo Indonesian Corporation in 1971.1 He was chairman of Betteshanger Farms Ltd in 1975.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet James, of Langley Hall and Denford Court, co.
