John Andrew Davidson, 2nd Viscount Davidson was born on 22 December 1928.1 He was the son of John Colin Campbell Davidson, 1st Viscount Davidson and Hon. Frances Joan Dickinson, Baroness Northchurch.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Birgitta Norton, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Cyril Henry Norton, on 30 June 1956.1 He and Margaret Birgitta Norton were divorced in 1974.1 He married, secondly, Pamela Joy Vergette, daughter of John Vergette, on 6 June 1975.1 He died on 22 July 2012 at age 83.3
John Andrew Davidson, 2nd Viscount Davidson usually went by his middle name of Andrew.1 He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1947 in the Black Watch and 5th Battalion, King's African Rifles.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Davidson, of Little Gaddesden, co. Frances Joan Dickinson, Baroness Northchurch, on 6 June 1975.1 She died on 26 December 2006.2
Her married name became Dobb.1 From 6 June 1975, her married name became Davidson. After her marriage, Pamela Joy Vergette was styled as Viscountess Davidson on 6 June 1975.
