Catherine Roseline Ratcliffe Hinton was the daughter of Captain Harold Virgo Hinton.1 She married, firstly, Vernon William Coats, son of John Alexander Coats and Audrey Gretchen Wilmot, before 1948.2 She and Vernon William Coats were divorced in 1954.2 She married, secondly, Sir Edward Delaval Henry Astley, 22nd Lord Hastings, son of Lt.-Col. Sir Albert Edward Delavel Astley, 21st Lord Hastings and Lady Marguerite Helen Nevill, on 7 July 1954.1 She died on 28 December 2007.3
From before 1948, her married name became Coats.2 From 7 July 1954, her married name became Astley.
