Comment:
During the final quarter in the game between Brunswick and Port Melbourne the ball was kicked into a yard adjacent to the ground at the western end. Many attempts were made by boys to recover the ball, but two fox terrier dogs frustrated their efforts. The lace of the ball was torn out by the dogs, and then they burst the bladder. After that they were quite content to allow Mr. J. Flem, Brunswick property master, tho recover it. -The Age 11-Jun-1934
