CONVOY HGF 26
Departed Gibraltar on Apr. 10-1940 and arrived Liverpool on the 19th
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" agrees with 17 ships in this convoy.
Notes:
Commodore was in Peisander, Vice Commodore in Maidan.
The convoy split up at 20:30 BST on Apr. 16, with J. C. Hamilton R.N.R. in Maidan taking over as Commodore for 8 ships, escorted by HMS Viscount until Apr. 17, at which time she (Viscount) was ordered to Plymouth.
Bosphorus parted company for Falmouth on Apr. 17, Wanstead for Portland on Apr. 18 and Lida for Boulogne on Apr. 19.
