For info, there was also a faster convoy, MKF 11, which had left Bone on March 26, arrived Clyde on Apr. 5. Also, an MKF 11A, leaving Gibraltar on Apr. 5, arriving Liverpool on the 12th.
What follows appears to be the ships in the convoy from Bone on Apr. 10-1943. Stations numbers varied as ships left and joined (hence some duplications). Some stations are not known.
* There was a Dutch and an Estonian Mars.
Notes:
Commodore was A. J. Heyward in Artemus Ward, Vice Commodore was in Empire Flamingo.
Average speed: 7.5 knots.
The following joined at Philippeville:
4 LST's, 1 MLT, Orkla and Torfinn Jarl.
The following ships left at Algiers:
Empire Snipe, Empire Tern, Bachaquero, Misoa, Evviva, Ville de Bougie, Mars, 4 LST's, 1 MLT, Orkla and Torfinn Jarl.
The following left at Oran:
Merope, Ville de Djidjelli (had joined at Bougie), Empire Dace, and Bruse Jarl.
Carthage, Le Trait and Temple Inn joined.
The convoy was attacked by torpedo bombers at 22:30 - date is given as March 10, but should probably be Apr. 10. No hits were scored. Planes came in singly at intervals of about 15 minutes.
Escorts:
HMS Carlilse, Wheatland, Whaddon, Brixham, illegible.
