Galerius AE24 follis under Maxentius, Ostia Mint. Obverse: IMP MAXENTIVS DIVO MAXIMIANO SOCERO, veiled head right. Reverse: AETERNA MEMORIA, temple with domed roof surmounted by eagle, MOSTS in exergue. RIC 31. Ebay auction, Mai 2006, 22.10 EUR. Contributed by Yuri Kabanov, June, 2006. Note from the Curator: I wonder why Ostia specialized in memorial coins. Maybe they were considered bad luck to strike in Rome?
