Unrecorded Probus, Ticinum Mint, RIC 386 Variant (Bust left) 276 AD. Obverse: IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG, Radiate and cuirassed bust left holding Eagle tipped scepter Reverse: IOVI CONSERVAT, Probus standing right holding eagle-tipped scepter, receiving globe from Jupiter who stands left VXXT in exergue. Seems to be unrecorded in RIC, or Alfldi, or on any of the on-line databases. Closest match is RIC 386 which matches obverse and reverse legends but has a radiate and cuirassed bust right, with or without spear and shield, but no bust left with eagle tipped scepter. Seems to be an unrecorded variant. Submitted by RustyRomans online store, August 2009
