Probus Antoninianus, 276 AD, Siscia, Officina 6. Obv: IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG Radiate, draped, cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev: CLEMENTIA T-EMP Emperor standing right, knob-tipped scepter in left hand, receiving globe from Jupiter, standing left, holding scepter. VI ligate in lower middle field, XXI in exergue. RIC V, Part II, 644v. (no eagle on sceptre). Alfldi type 15, No. 13, Plate VI. Note from GK on 01/23/05 - Retrograde ligate VI's are recorded for other coins (e.g. Alfldi 15/15, 26/105; 26/145). These are most probably errors. The celator started to cut a retrograde mark, and then caught himself and cut a normal ligate VI. This would explain why the right side of the mark is so much weaker.
