Probus AE Ant $77.52 Nov-29-01 NOTE; Unfortunately the seller thought that the eagle on the sceptre was on the globe and described this coin as an important, unpublished variety. However, as can be clearly seen, the eagle, though large, is in fact in its usual place on the tip of the sceptre and this coin is therefore the common and normal type. The description below has been corrected. Probus AE Ant Probus AD 276-282 AE Antoninianus Obv: IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG - Radiate bust right, draped and cuirassed Rev: CLEMENTIA TEMP Jupiter standing left, holding eagle-tipped scepter, gives globe to Probus, standing right and opposite.
