A number of other performers were billed as lions comiques and included swell songs in their repertoire. Of these G H. MacDermott enjoyed comparable notoriety, though his greater speciality was the topical song. Arthur Lloyd was noted for the accuracy of his impressions based on exhaustive scrutiny of everyday life, and was an early success with his hit about the cockney swell Immenseikoff, the Shorditch Toff.

Another notable coster swell act of the period was Lloyd's Immenseikoff, the Shoreditch Toff from 1873 (at the peak of the wages boom) Most of he song proclaims the superior style of his wardrobe, and was clearly the stuff of parody - thus the song cover shows him in all the conventional apparatus of the swell, but he carries a club in place of a cane.
