Medical Doctor. Educated S. M. Kirov Military Medical Institute. Doctorate of medical sciences degree, 1984. Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 1985. Civilian Physician. Trained for cancelled Voskhod long duration mission. Involved in several experiments on various Soyuz missions. From 1967 - 1968, member of a Soviet Antarctic Expedition. Later Deputy Director of IMBP, Moscow.
