PARIS - Jack Grady Tucker, 85, Peacock Road, died Sunday at home.

Born in Cynthiana, he was a son of the late Wrayburn Boyer and Ina Dell Clifford Tucker. He was a farmer, a retired training supervisor for the Department of Agriculture, Tobacco Division, and a former principal and basketball coach in Butler. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he played basketball under Coach Rupp from 1931-35. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of Paris Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Gillig Tucker; two sons, John W. Tucker of Rockville, Va., and Jack G. Tucker of Bourbon County; two daughters, Malinda McKay of Plymouth, Mass., and Susan Malott of Danville, Ky; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lexington Cemetery by the Rev. Debbie Wallace-Padgett.

Visitation is 4-6 p.m. today at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the First Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
