1922 Tour de France complete final General Classification

Photos from the 1922 Tour de France:

Jean Alavoine collects his win at the end of the 6th stage. The next rider won't arrive for almost 17 minutes.

Riders pause at the top of a hill to flip their wheels to get a bigger gear for the downhill. This was over a decade before Tour riders were allowed to use derailleurs.

Firmin Lambot gives the camera a rare smile. At 36, he's still the oldest man to have won the Tour.

Another shot of Lambot at some point in the 1922 Tour de France.
