GIACOMO DEL DUCA, born in Sicily, was a prominent architect in Rome in the late 1500s. His work there includes the Oratory of S. Maria in Trivio and the nearby Palazzo Cornaro. Palazzo Cornaro was commissioned by Cardinal Alvise Cornaro (G-2) in the early 1580s to serve as a Roman base for the Venetian family.
