Kakunin, click on the picture for 4K resolution] | Aegomorphus krueperi, a reltively rare species endemic to Balcan Peninsula, has been described from Agrinio environs (Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit, West Greece) as _Acanthoderes Krüperi_by Gustav Kraatz in 1859 [▽]. Biology of this remarkable beetle si similar to the close relative species - Aegomorphus clavipes (Schrank, 1781). **Body length:**12 - 16 mm **Life cycle:**1 - 2 years **Adults in:**May - June **Host plant:**mainly oak (Quercus spp.) **Distribution:**a species endemic to Balcan Peninsula (Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia) The depicted beetles were collected on oaks (Quercus frainetto) in Vlachava (Βλαχάβα) village environs (Meteora municipality, Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece) in May 2013 (PJ) / June 2016 (SOK) / May 24, 2022 (DR).Collected by Tamás Németh, Petr Jelínek and Sergei O.
