Miaenia maritima, a rare species known from Russian Far East and South Korea, has been described from Primorsky Krai by Alexei Ignatevich Tsherepanov in 1979 [✳][✮].

Body length: 5 - 6 mm
Life cycle: 2 years
Adults in: June - July
Host plant: polyphagous on deciduous trees (e.g. Quercus spp.)
Distribution: Russian Far East, South Korea

The depicted male beetle was beaten from dead oak branches in Turiy Rog (Турий Рог) village environs (Khankaysky district, Primorsky Krai, Far Eastern Federal District, Russia) on June 27, 2015.
