Phytoecia flavipes, an endemic species to Morocco, has been described as Saperda flavipes from Tanger environs (Morocco) by Johann Christian Fabricius in 1801 [❖].

Body length: 10 – 16 mm
Life cycle: 1 year
Adults in: April - June
Host plant: Eryngium triquetrum [▽]
Distribution: an endemic species to Morocco

The depicted beetle was collected on the host plant leafs (Eryngium triquetrum) in Taounate (تاونات) environs (350 m a.s.l., Rif Mts., Taounate province, Fès-Meknès region, Morocco) on April 15, 2024.
