Ambrizete - background
Following the independence of Angola, Ambrizete has been re-named N'zeto. The municipality is located in Zaire Province of northern Angola on the Atlantic coast.

Ambrizete - former municipal Arms and flag
During the colonial era, the town of Ambrizete was officially designated Council of Ambrizete (Concelho do Ambrizete). It's colonial symbols were approved by the Portuguese Ministry of Overseas Territories and published on 15 March 1962.

The colonial Arms were gold, dressed in green, and loaded with a painted black, speckled with silver and pecked in red bird (Guinea Fowl), accompanied by a head and a corner of the old Portuguese shield and at the tip of a blue anchor.

The colonial flag was quartered white and black with the Arms in the centre. Cords and tassels of silver and black.
