Club Náutico Mar del Plata (original) (raw)
Club Náutico Mar del Plata (CNMP), founded on 23 March 1925 by Teodoro Bronzini (then Intendant of Mar del Plata), Rufina Inda (first secretary of the club) and Eduardo Peralta Ramos (first president of the club), has today more than 3,000 members but could host 4,500 of them.
The CNMP organized the "Optimist" World Championship in 1992, which was won by club member Martin Jenkins. Another famous "socio" (member) of the club was the tennis player Guillermo Vilas. The rower Marcelo Fernndez competed in the semi-finals in the Seul Olympic Games (1988).

The colours and flag (but not the burgee) of the CNMP are prescribed in the club statutes, approved by the Governor of Buenos Aires on 1 June 1943 and last amended on 24 February 2007, as follows:
The burgee of CNMP follows the same design than the flag of the club.
