Mordialloc is located on the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay, c. 25 km south-east of Melbourne. Although Mordialloc Sailing Club was officially established in its present location in the early 1960s, it has connections with sailing at Mordialloc since the 1880s.

Description of burgee
A picture [previously at http://www.mordiallocsc.com.au/images/Photos/Open.Day\_2002.jpg\] of the 2002 MSC opening day shows the burgee. The burgee of the MSC is red with a white horizontal stripe in the middle and a white square charged with a red M.
