Presentation of Novo Sarajevo
Novo Sarajevo is, as the name suggests it, a new part of the town built after the World War II. The symbols adopted are appropriate in that context.

Flag of Novo Sarajevo
The symbols of Novo Sarajevo are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Opcine Novo Sarajevo i njihovoj upotrebi, adopted on 4 April 2000 by the Municipal Assembly and published in the Canton official gazette Službene novine Kantona Sarajevo, No 5.
The flag is light blue with the coat of arms, bordered white, in the middle. The flag is mostly used as the horizontal variant (photo, photo, photo, photo), only the table flag being, seemingly, used as the vertical variant (photo).

The coat of arms pictures the modern skyline of the town: the telecommunications tower on the Hum hill, the building of the power company Elektroprivreda BiH and a bridge over river Miljacka river, as dark blue silhouettes against the silver shield.
