The coat of arms is "Quartered to the chief dexter by a triple wattle or, first gules a Franciscan achievement or, second and third checky gules and argent and fourth azure an arm embowed clad gules armoured and gloved or holding a sword also or and inscribed in two rows KUP/RES of the last".
The Franciscan (Ordo Fratrum Minorum) coat of arms consisting of two arms in saltire and a Latin cross, is included to denote their role in the preservation of the Croatian nation in the region. The embowed arm with the sword is the medieval arms of Rama.
