DK Flag Book 1997 gives the symbolism of the emblem (which is the state arms) as follows:

Album 2000 gives the flag with a brown background (approx. Pantone 492c, C 0 - M 75 - Y 65 - K 40) and a smaller emblem, of diameter approximately 60% of the flag height.
Ivan Sache, 12 June 2001

I had a contact in Bangladesh, a librarian in Prime Minister's Office on 18 Jun 2001:

'Thank you for your interest about our Presidential flag. Your sent flag's golden Emblem (President's Crest) is correct but the background in wrong. The original Instruction [No. 5 2/83-Rules/1 (Dated 3 January 1984)] is given bellow,

The Personal Standard will be in dark carmine colour and rectangular in size in the proportion of length to width 10:6 bearing Golden National Emblem (President's Crest) on the body of the colour. The National Emblem (within a
circle) will have a radius of one -fifth of the length of standard and the horizontal line drawn through the middle of its width.

Colour:
a) The dark carmine colour base of the Standard will be of PROCION BROWN-H 3R 4.0% (I.C.I.)

b) The National Emblem (President's Crest) will be Bright Gold Colour.

II. Size of the Standard for building:
a) 10 feet by 6 feet
b) 5 feet by 3 feet
c) 2.5 feet by 1.5 feet

Depending upon size of the building:
III. Size of the standard for aircraft : 2.5 feet by 1.5 feet
IV. Size for the standard for Car: 12.5 inches by 7.5 inches.

Golden Crest means Presidential Monogram which will be golden coloured."

I have renewed contact with him/her again, to gain info about any potential change (inscription - name of president - may be omitted).
Zoltán Horváth, 14 April 2003

The flag here is that of the current (fourth) president. His name is under the national crest. Please note, that the crest is not fully coloured with gold - the waves are white.

Use by the Prime Minister

A vertical (cone) version of this flag is used by the Office of the President.
Paul Bassinson, 28 July 2023

According to Cabinet Decision No. CD-3/1/92-Rules/32 (Dated 16 February 1992), the same flag used by the president is also used by the prime minister with the only change of the title below the national emblem from "President" to "Prime Minister".
