The municipality of �ngulo (2,928 inhabitants in 2019; 10,602 ha) is located 450 km north-west of Curitiba.
�ngulo was established by Basilio Pertsew, Dimitri Novikov and George Felmas on plots acquired from the Companhia de Melhoramentos do Norte do Paraná. Located in the angle made by two roads, the new town was named �ngulo.
The district of �ngulo was established, as part of the municipality of Iguaraçu, by State Law No. 8,670 promulgated on 21 December 1987, and inaugurated on 25 January 1989. The municipality of �ngulo was established by State Law No. 9,357 promulgated on 3 September 1990, and inaugurated on 3 October 1992.
