Municipality
The municipality of Centen�rio (3,021 inhabitants in 2016; 13,445 ha) is located 375 km north of Porto Alegre.
Centen�rio was established between 1900 and 1902 by descendants of Polish immigrants. Formed in 1915, the community of S�o Paulo was subsequently renamed to Vila Centen�rio.

Description of the Flag
The flag and arms of Centen�rio are prescribed by Municipal Law No. 146 promulgated on 11 August 1995.
Article 2.
The municipal flag of Centen�rio shall have the following colors: green, yellow, blue, white, and brown.
Article 3.
The municipal coat of arms of Centen�rio is based on the Portuguese shape and on historical data on the origin of the municipality.
