About the Flag of Vera Cruz
Blue with a red cross of the Order of Christ throughout (the name Vera Cruz means "True Cross" and was the first name the Portuguese gave the land of Brazil). Overall on a white disk is the municipal coat of arms, which depicts an escutcheon of the arms of Castile quartering León on a blue field, and in base a caravel under sail on a white sea.
