It was a change a decade in the making. Lamont County council decided at their last meeting to update the flags around the community. The move is about 11 years after they chose a new design.
"Our logo was changed from our crest in 2007, and it was changed on everything internally except for our flags," said Heather Atkinson, communications coordinator with Lamont County.

The new flags will feature a white background with Lamont County in dark blue letters. The previous flag was blue with a county crest.
