The municipality
The town of Sainte-Catherine (17,403 inhabitants in 2020; 1,600 ha) is located in the southern outskirts of Montreal, on the southern shore of the Saint-Lawrence.

The lower green stripe means quietness and proximity with the natural environment.
The blue stripe that surmounts it represents the lock of the St. Lawrence Seaway and its significance for the town.
The upper dark blue stripe and the tree are the ultimate signs of constant development and wise urban planning of a town that grows with righteousness, stability and strength.
