The logo was designed in 1983 by Maurice Lalonde, winner of a contest organized by the municipality. The flag was unveiled on 2 June 1983.
The green stripes form letters "SSK", for "Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka". Their elongated, rectilinear shapes refer to the plot design and to agriculture, which is the municipality's main activity. The slanted rectangles pointing upwards highlight the municipality's dynamism.
The blue triangles represent waves, evoking the Saint-Lawrence and Lake Saint-Franois.
The yellow triangular shape above the waves represents a sailboat. Lake Saint-Franois is indeed one of Quebec's best place for water sports. Yellow recalls the sun and summer, when the municipality experience a demographic boom.
