Description of the flag
Established ". . . back in the 1960's . . . "
"The [white field] Algoma Sailing Club Pennant (club flag) contains the [black] club insignia [on a yellow circle] which is the Mizgaze (Mizgizi) [a thin black line extends across the fly]. Its origin is in the First Nation Rock paintings at Agawa. The literal translation of the word is eagle: symbolically it indicates courage."
