VHTL (Gewerkschaft Verkauf Handel Transport Lebensmittel)
FCTA (Fdration du commerce, des transports et de l'alimentation)
FCTA (Federazione svizzera dei lavoratori del commercio, dei trasporti e dell'alimentazione)
(= Trade Union Commerce Transport Food)
The VHTL/FCTA was founded in 1915 and adopted its later name in 1982. In 2004, it merged with SMUV/FTMH/FMLO, unia, GBI/SIB/SEI and "actions" to form the new trade union "Unia". It was active in commerce, food and transport.
One flag used was divided diagonally white over orange over red, with the abbreviations in two languages (VHTL and FCTA) in black all over; the flag was usually displayed vertically, i.e. rotated by 90 degrees [1,2,3,4,5,6,7].

Another flag showed all the elements on both sides of a rather transparent flag, so that the elements shone through; the elements appeared in brown on white; on the respective reverse these appeared in light violet; the elements were a brown circle in the center, the inscriptions "FCTA" and "VHTL" and "Gewerkschaft Syndicat" [1,8,9].
