Gules a bar wavy Azure overall a knight harnysed Argent holding in his dexter hand a lance and his sinister resting on a sheathed sword all of this Last in sinister chief three elder leaves conjoined and slipped Or.
Christopher Southworth
The commune of Marly has changed its flag in 1991 to reflect fusions of Marly-le-Grand and Marly-le-Petit in 1969 and then Chesalles in 1976.
The blue wavy stripe symbolizes the river Gerine and the 3 leaves (which alludes to the 3 former entities) come from an alder-tree, very common in this area.
