Overview
Pococi Canton (24,035 ha) is made of the seven districts of Guápiles, Jiménez, Rita, Roxana, Cariari, Colorado and La Colonia. Pococi Canton was established by Law No. 12 of 19 September 1911, with Guápiles as its capital, and inaugurated on 13 October 1911. The canton was named for a pre-Colombian province.

The flag of the Canton of Pococi in Limon, Costa Rica, is three horizontal strips, the upper is white, the middle is light blue and the lower is white.
