Rainau Coat of Arms
Shield Gules, a lion rampant Or at dexter, an attire Argent in pale at sinister.
Meaning:
Rainau was established on 1 January 1975 by a merger of Dalkingen and Schwabsberg. The new municipality adopted the family arms of the Lords of Schwabsberg, who owned both villages in the 14th and 15th century, Dalkingen as a fiefdom of Ellwangen. The base tincture was however changed from blue to red.
