Ursensollen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Gules a bend chequered of Argent and Sable, beneath parted per pale of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
In 1972 the municipalities of Haag, Hohenkemnath, Ullersberg and Zant were incorporated completely and Garsdorf, Hausen, Thonhausen, Winkl and Wolfsfeld partially. In 1978 four more villages were added. Ursensollen and Hohenkemnath had been the most important local districts (Bavarian: Hofmarken.). The upper half of the municipal arms is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Kemnath in Hohenkemnath, who owned the namesake district from 1267 until the 17th century. The lower half displays the arms of the Scharfenberg family, who ruled the Ursensollen district from the middle of the 14th century until the 16th century.
