Meeder Coat of Arms
Shield Vert a church Argent, chief barry of four of Sable and Or a crancelin Vert.
Meaning:
The church ist he local parish church, dedicated to St. Lawrence, which had been already displayed on a local seal print from 1762. Meeder had been seat of a parish since the High Medieval. The chief displays a differentiation of the arms of Sachsen (Saxony), as Meeder historically belonged to Duchy of Sachsen-Coburg. The tinctures white and green are those of (Sachsen-)Coburg.
