Shield Or with flanches Azure, a shepherd statant dressed Sable with hat of the same, bearded Argent, holding a crozier by his dexter hand and carrying a lamb couchant Argent by his sinister arm.
Meaning:
The arms display Jonas, a shepherd and monk from the nearby Celestine Oybin Monastery. It is assumed that he had founded the village more than 450 years ago, although his existence as a historic person is not proven. At least he is the name giver of the municipality.
