Kumhausen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure a cross staff Argent and a key Argent in saltire, at sinister Sable an impending torso of a billy goat Sable holding a halberd of the same by his forepaws, issuant from base a quintuplemount in counterchanged tinctures.
Meaning:
The mount in base, actually a triplemount under a doublemount, is a representation of the five municipalities Niederkam, Windten, Obergangkofen, Götzdorf and Hohenegglkofen, which formed Kumhausen in 1971/1972. Goat and halberd are taken from the arms of the Walser family, who owned the Obergangkofen district (Bavarian: Hofmark) since 1792. It is also symbolising the former Windten district (Bavarian: Hofmark). The cross staff is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, patron saint of Hohenegglkofen. The key is an attribute of St. Peter, patron saint of the parish of Grammelkam. The tinctures silver and blue are those of the Wittelsbach kin.
