Burgthann Coat of Arms

Shield quartered of Argent and Sable, in centre an inescutcheon Or charged with an eradicated fir Vert.
Meaning:
The fir (German: Tanne) is canting and furthermore reminding on the _Lords of Than_n, whose ancestral seat had been the local castle, finished in 1260. The quartered shield is representing the Burgraves of Nürnberg from the Zollern kin. Burgthann had been a fiefdom of the kin between 1218 and 1803.
