Obermaiselstein Coat of Arms
Shield Or a stag salient crossing the gap between two rocks Azure.
Meaning:
The main tinctures red and yellow are those of the Counts of Königsegg-Rothenfels. The ensemble is based on a local legend, which tells us that a stag escaped from a lynx by jumping over a gorge between Ochsenberg and Schwarzenberg. Aloys Adalbert Waibel told this story in 1851 within his description of the Imperial County of Königsegg-Rothenfels.
