Flags prior to 1774
I just noticed a caption under Oldenburg on this German Territories in 1789 map reading, 1773 v[on].Dänem[ark]. getrennt i.e. 'separated from Denmark 1773'. Since the Oldenburg flag (red cross on dark blue field) was adopted 1774, I wonder what flag was used during 1773-1774 and especially whether prior to 1773 the flag of Oldenburg was that of the County of Oldenburg (i.e. a banner of arms of Oldenburg proper) or rather the Dannebrog.
