Günzach Coat of Arms
Shield parted per fess, above Gules a fess wavy Argent, beneath Azure a beech leaf Argent.
Meaning:
Before 1977 the municipality was named Immenthal. Anselm of Reichlin-Meldegg (1728 - 1747), abbot of the Princely Abbey of Kempten built around 1730 a hunting lodge and a brewery in Immenthal. The fess wavy is representing the Günz River. The leaf is representing a local beech grove. The tinctures red and blue are those of Kempten Abbey, the tinctures blue and white those of Bayern.
