Wolnzach Coat of Arms
Shield Vert, on a triplemount issuant Argent a fawn salient Or.
Meaning:
The first local seals from the middle of the 14th century and the 16th century displayed the fawn in a shield without the mount, which was added later. The tinctures were first reported by Apian in 1562 and confirmed by Mieleich in 1565 and by a report of the Bavarian Ministery of State in 1818. Though called a fawn, it had probably been a hind. In the 19th century the seals displayed a roebuck or even a chamois. The origin of the fawn is unknown.
