Dettighofen Coat of Arms
Shield Azure, issuant from base a triplemount Or, above an impending waxing moon crescent Or with face.
Meaning:
Dettingen merged with Baltersweil, Berwangen and Dettighofen on 1 January 1974. The new municipality adopted an amendation of the arms of its namesake predecessor, which adopted similar arms but with a black triplemount in 1900. The crescent is a local symbol, which is displayed on seals since the 19th century and also a sculpture on the village's well. The triplemount might alldue to the arms of the Schwarzenberg kin, rulers of the Landgraviate of Klettgau until 1806, to which all villages of the municipality historically belonged.
