Veitshöchheim Coat of Arms

It is a baroque shield Gules, charged with a saint proper nimbed Or in a kettle Or, flanked by two 6-point stars Or. The shield is flanked by "15" at dexter nd "63" at sinister.
Meaning:
The saint is St. Vitus (colloquial Southern German: Veit), the patron saint of the local church. The year 1563 is the year of approval of the arms. The stars probably had been local symbols. The former name of the village had been "Höchheim under Würzburg". Probably in 1818 the municipality was renamed and the name was connected with the name of its patron saint.

The arms were approved in 1563 by Friedrich of Wirsberg, Bishop of Würzburg and confirmed on 16 December 1966 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
