Overview

The parish of La Am�rica is located in the south of Manab� Province. La Am�rica is composed of 33 settlements split into three elevation zones (Upper, Central, Lower) and of 17 communities.
The parish of La Am�rica was established by Executive Agreement No. 118, issued on 27 July 1948, forming the 6th rural parish of Jipijapa canton.

The flag of La Am�rica is horizontally divided green-red-yellow with a white triangle placed along the hoist and charged with two cropping tools crossed in saltire.
